    Page 101, Table 4.3-5:
            - the Date of Sampling for the Henry Mine should be April 19, 1960

** Page 123:
            -3.98x10^-7 should be 3.98x10^-9.

    Pages 125 and 127:
            - the four occurrences of "Jurjovic" should be spelt "Jurjovec"
            - these two pages should be added to the Author Index (p. 303) for Jurjovec

    Page 148, Equations 5.2.1-6 and 5.2.1-7:
            (We are thankful to Ms. Joanna Lee Runnels for bringing this to our attention)
            - conversion factor for Equation 5.2.1-6 should be 83.3 to obtain t CaCO₃/1000 t,
                       rather than 8.33 which only yields %CaCO₃
            - conversion factor for Equation 5.2.1-7 should be 22.7 to obtain t CaCO₃/1000 t,
                       rather than 2.27 which only yields %CaCO₃

    Page 209, paragraph beginning "Unit-area production rates":

            - "Equation 5.4-4" should be "Equation 5.4.2-4"

    Page 220, paragraph beginning at the bottom of the first column:
            - "Equations 4.2.3-1 and 4.2.3-2" should be "Equation 4.2.3-1"
            - "51 mg SO₄/L" should be "16 mg SO₄/L"
            - the two occurrences of "33 mg CaCO₃/L" should be "17 mg CaCO₃/L"

    Pages 257 and 259 (Case Study 6.4-5):
            - 2x10⁶ t should be 5.3x10⁶ t
            - 1.4x10⁶ t should be 3.8x10⁶ t

    ** Page 267:
            -the first word in the title of De Vos et al., 1995, is "Delineation".

    ** Page 276:
            -the year of publication for the book by Morgan and Henrion is 1990.

    Page 282, the reference for Ryan and Joyce (1991) [mentioned on pages 237 and 239]
                 is missing:
